For Debt Awareness Week, we're shining the spotlight on the great work that our money matters team are doing to help support our customers.
We have a small team of six money matters advisors who work hard to help support our customers with their finances. Whether that’s supporting them with claiming benefits, helping them to create a budget, or signposting them to organisations who can help to advise on debt.
We recently caught up with Zoe Blyth, one of our money matters advisors, for National Careers Week; read her story here.
Zoe recently helped one of our customers to increase their income by over £1,000 per month by successfully supporting them to claim several benefits they were eligible for. This has made a huge difference for them, especially during the cost-of-living crisis.
Last year, the team helped to increase our customers’ income by £1.9 million in total, through a mix of things like newly awarded benefits and backdated benefit payments, making a real difference for many of our customers.
