We’d like to say a big congratulations to Lisa Bailey, Asset Officer at Magna, for completing and passing her CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice!
Lisa joined Magna in 2018 as an administrator for our sheltered housing and support services team and has since changed roles within the organisation a few times, joining the asset management team and then the building safety and compliance team where she is today.
Lisa said: “I hadn’t worked in the housing sector before I joined Magna, so I chose to do this qualification to get a good overview of the housing industry and get an insight into the roles and responsibilities of each department. There are five mandatory units and three further units that make up the qualification, and the flexibility allowed me to tailor it to cover the areas I felt were most relevant to my role.”
Lisa continued: “Completing this qualification means a lot to me! Following two operations and then contracting Covid while working full-time, studying, and trying to complete the assessments was really challenging for me. I didn’t think I’d be able to finish the units required for the qualification, let alone pass!”
“But I had a great mentor, my colleague Danielle Jennings, who kept me going throughout. She made me believe in myself, and that I had what it takes to carry on.”
We’re proud to be able to support colleagues like Lisa to continue to develop their skills and knowledge, and to have colleagues like Danielle who embody our One Team values and go the extra mile in supporting one another.
