Dave Killoran has joined South West-based housing association Magna Housing as Chief Finance Officer. A member of Magna’s Executive Board, Dave has strategic oversight of Magna’s finance, procurement, governance, risk and legal teams.
Dave began his financial career in the City of London, before relocating to Devon and completing his finance and accounting training in local government. He joined the NHS during a period of rapid development and change, progressing to the role of Director of Finance. He left to embark on a career in consulting, supporting teams and organisations across the public sector, with a particular focus in the health and care sector.
As well as being a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA), Dave holds an MBA and is also an accredited coach and facilitator, with a particular interest in organisational change and improvement.
Dave says: “I’ve been lucky enough to gain experience leading and advising organisations with a diverse range of strategic, commercial and operational issues, always with a focus on unlocking human potential to deliver successful change.
“My passion is for making a difference for people through collaborative working. Magna is all about looking at things from the customer and community perspective, and that alignment of values drew me to them.
“I’m here to help identify areas for development and improvement, so our teams are better equipped to deliver the homes and services our customers need.”
Selina White, Magna’s Chief Executive, adds: “We’re really excited to welcome Dave to Magna. He brings invaluable experience from other relevant sectors and will play a key role in helping us increase capacity and secure funding to build new homes and refurbish existing properties, so more local people have a secure and safe place to live. His keen eye, coupled with a compassionate approach, make him a perfect fit for Team Magna.”
