If you’ve been hit with a severe flood and you are in danger, phone 999 and follow advice from the emergency services.

Keeping our customers safe is our number one priority, and we’ve put together some information on how to stay safe if your area is affected by flooding.
Some of our homes in Bridport have been affected by flooding, and we’re supporting customers in these areas by providing sandbags to prevent water coming in. We’ve also made welfare calls to check that everyone affected is safe.
The Government website has some useful information about what to do in a flood. You can also sign up for flood alerts in your area.
This can help you prepare in case there is flooding and know what the different flood warnings mean and what to do if you get one.

If you live in an area that has a flood alert, you should:
- Prepare a bag that includes medicines, insurance documents and other vital items
- Check that you know how to turn off your gas, electricity and water mains supplies
- Plan how you'll move family and pets to safety
