Maintenance and modifications
Creating great homes together is our vision. Many of our customers want to improve their home by doing things like adding a parking space, putting up sheds in their gardens and replacing kitchens.
If you want to make improvements to your home, you need to ask us for permission before you start any work. If you contact your housing officer they will help you and explain what you have to do. We try and make it as easy as possible.
Depending on what improvements you are planning to make we may need you to give us copies of certificates and details of insurance from your contractors etc. We will explain this to you and let you know what we need.
If you have improved your home and are now thinking of moving home some improvements are covered by a compensation scheme. Things like replacing baths, adding a shower and replacing a kitchen qualify. If you would like more details please let us know.
Estate services
We know that part of what makes your home great extends to outside of your front door. Our estate services team are responsible for the management and maintenance for several services on communal areas that are shared by more than one home.

The sewers and drainage of the majority of homes will be serviced by your local water authority eg Wessex Water. However, some homes are connected to Magna-owned sewer and drainage systems.
